Prep Time: 60 minutes
Heat: direct high heat (450°F-500°F) and medium low (325°F)
Grilling Time: 5-7 minutes
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill, or 1 teaspoon dried
½ teaspoon kosher salt
2 large garlic cloves, minced
1 pound fresh asparagus, washed with bottom woody stems removed
Zest of 1 small lemon
1 Afire gourmet golden alder plank
First. Combine the olive oil, lemon juice, dill, salt, and garlic in a large glass baking dish. Add asparagus and marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.
Second. Place asparagus spears on plank. Close lid and grill for 5 to 7 minutes, until spears are tender but firm
Last. Top with lemon zest before serving.
Grilling Tips: To prevent your food from sticking to the plank, brush a little olive oil on to the plank. Spray some water on the plank, if burning.
