Prep time: 15 minutes
Heat: direct high heat (450°F-500°F) and medium low (325°F)
Grilling Time: 15 minutes for medium-rare
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoons molasses
6 tablespoons Bourbon
¼ cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons dried ground ginger
2 tablespoons white wine Worcestershire sauce
3 garlic cloves, minced
1½ pounds flank steak
Crushed Fresh Black Pepper
1 Afire Gourmet Black Cherry Plank
First. To make the marinade, combine all ingredients except the flank steak in a 1-gallon resealable plastic bag.
Second. Add the flank steak and completely coat the meat with the marinade. Place the bag on a plate and refrigerate all day or overnight.
Third. Grill the steak 3 minutes on each side on hight heat 450°F-500°F degrees.
Fourth. Place flank steak on plank. Close lid and grill for about 10 minutes at medium low heat 325°F. Or until desired doneness.
Last. Set aside for 15 minuates before serving.
To prevent your food from sticking to the plank, brush a little olive oil on to the plank. Spray some water on the plank, if burning.
